This extension provides a one-button interface to build and upload Marlin Firmware to your selected motherboard. That being said, I only used their online codespaces so far, - and for my own personal practice, I used online complilers such as Open VS Code and go to the Extensions tab Type marlin in the Extensions search bar Find the Auto Build Marlin extension (see image below) and install it.
